Environmental project launched

The Café Watt and the initiative “Local Agenda 21 Ludwigshafen e.V.” have started an environmental project for refugees. On Friday, 17 June 2016, an event for adults will take place in the garden of the Wattstraße (Wattstraße 107, Ludwigshafen-Mundenheim). Refugees are welcome from 2 to 4 pm to join this event and build flower beds. Afterwards, they can plant vegetables and herbs.

The aim of the environmental project is to introduce children and their parents to the nature and the environment of their new home. Therefore, different activities are planned, such as trips to the youth farm Ludwigshafen-Pfingstweide and to the garden of the Wilhelm-Hack-Museum, a stroll through Mundenheim, harvesting and processing of apples on an orchard. These activities will take place from June to November 2016.
