Exhibition in Kunstverein Ludwigshafen: Maziar Moradi – Becoming German

The Kunstverein Ludwigshafen, Bismarckstraße 44-48, presents an exhibition with works of the photographer Maziar Moradi from 23 April until 26 June 2016. The exhibition consists of two series of his work. The first series “Becoming German” was created between 2008 and 2016 and shows migrants in a restaged situation describing episodes of their life as an immigrant. The latest series “Becoming German – The Beginning” deals with the current refugee crisis in Europe. Maziar Moradi has taken photographs of several refugee camps all over Germany.

The opening hours are: Tuesdays to Fridays from 12 am to 6 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 6 pm.
The entrance is free.

Special event: Tea Salon
On Sunday, 29 May 2016, 5 pm, two musicians play songs with an oud and a dabuka. The two musicians, Hisam Alhayek and Asem Abd Alkareem, fled from the war in Syria and currently live in a refugee camp in Luwigshafen. Guests are also welcome to try the Arab tea specialties that are offered on this evening.
