Public Wi-Fi hotspots introduced around the city

The company TWL is currently setting up a public Wi-Fi network In Ludwigshafen. It offers the opportunity to surf the internet for free in public places in the city. There are already locations with public  Wi-Fi  open to anyone: Berliner Platz and the adjacent part of the marketplace, the Ludwigsplatz and the vehicle licensing office (Kfz-Zulassungsstelle) in the Achtmorgenstraße. This service will constantly be expanded.

To use the internet with TWL, users simply have to subscribe to “TWL – Free WiFi”. After entering their mobile phone number and email address users will automatically receive a SMS with a five-digit access code. After entering this code into the “Access Code” box users can access the public Wi-Fi network.  The service can currently be used for one hour per day free of charge. The hotspots have a data transfer rate of 100 megabits per second.
